We have listed the common Integration categories so that Developers and Integration Partners can more easily locate sets of messages that are relevant to the type of Integration that would like to do. We also use these categories on the Service Store to group integrations.
We do not have APIs for all categories at this time, but we are constantly adding more to our protel Developer Collection.
